Plot Summary: Henry Cavill plays Superman in director Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel." The film also stars Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. 

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy. 

Sameer's Dulqar movie

Cinematographer turned director Sameer Thahir, who hit to fame with his debut movie 'Chappa Kurisu' is getting ready to start his next. As of now, the director has already grabbed the dates of the star prodigy Dulquar Salman. Sameer is finalising the scripts and as per plans, the shoot for the movie will kick start by next January. Shyju Khalid is the cinematographer of this movie which will also have a novel story.

Meanwhile, Dulqar's second movie in theaters 'Ustad Hotel' is currently running successfully in its fifth week. The movie is already opined as a big hit of the year.

Thappana, directed by Johny Antony, and starring Mammootty and Charmi in the lead is a comedy entertainer and narrates the story of an innocent person named Monai (played by Mammootty) who renders help to any one in need. 

In Thappana, Mammootty essays the character of a person who fights for justice all the time and in theprocess gets involved in other people's problems. Monai fights for others seeking justice and ends up getting arrested. All the main jails are like home for him and police are his friends. He is an artist and is acknowledged as best artist of the prison three times. 

Monai, who loved Mary kutty (Charmi) while he was a teenager happens to meet her again as an adult on one of the days of his release from the prison. Monai spots Mallika who too got released from the women's cell. Monai views it as his responsibility to escort her home. She refuses to utter a word to him during the journey back to her home. Monai soon realises that Mary kutty's life is a complicated one. Mammooty plays Monai and Charmi essays the role of Mallika. Screenplay is penned by Sindhuraj. 

The shooting for Thappana has begun at Ernakualm and will later be shifted to Palakkad. Vidya Sagar has scored the music for the film while the lyrics is penned by Anil Panachooran, Santhosh Varma and Murukan Kattakada. The rest of the star cast forThapanna includes Murali Gopi, Lakshmi Priya, Vijaya Kumari and others. The film will be produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy films.

Dulquar Salman has signed up for debut director Kannan’s June

Dulquar Salman has signed up for debut director Kannan’s June, which is going to be a musical love story. “This will be Dulquar’s first romantic outing on screen,” says Kannan. Dulquar shares screen space with actors Rejith Menon, Aju Varghese and Abishek. Vanitha Krishnachandran, Devan and Lena form the rest of the cast. “The lead actress is yet to be finalised,” informs the director. Kannan and Lakshmi have scripted for June, produced by V C Ismail. The music is by Alphonse and the camera will be handled by S R Kathiir.

MOHANLAL AND RAJESH PILLAI team's Lucifer malayalam movie coming in 2013

One of the most important news going rounds among film buffs is all about the new Mohanlal-Rajesh Pillai' project. As of our information, this  new movie featuring the scripts written by Murali Gopy will be titled as 'Lucifer'.  Antony Perumbavoor will produce this movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

Rajesh Pillai, a big Mohanlal fan will set this movie as a  pure entertainer specially dedicated to all Mohanlal lovers. According to the believable sources, this new  Malayalam film will be a festival release of 2013.

 Rajesh Pillai is currently busy with the Hindi remake of his Malayalam blockbuster 'Traffic'.The director is also working on the pre production of  two other film projects simultaneously.

Dileep replaced Mohanlal in “Baba Sathya Sai”???

Latest unconfirmed news reports says that Dileep is going to do the role of Sathya Sai Baba in “Baba Sathya Sai”. Earlier rumors spread that Mohanlal is playing Baba in this movie, to be shoot in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil. Telugu super director Kodi Ramakrishna will direct the movie.

As the new generation movies have started to impress Mollywood audience like never before, more and more superstars are turning their heads towards the experimental projects. According to unconfirmed reports, superstar Mohanlal has agreed to be on a new project, an assimilation of five action movies under one common title, produced by Vinod Vijayan. Lal will be part of the one short action movie which is expected to be directed by Joshiy. Shaji Kailas, Deephan, Padmakumar and the producer-director Vinod Vijayan will himself helm the affairs of these five films, which will be produced under the title 'D company'.

Ranjan Pramod, Ranjith, Shaji Kailas, G S Anil and A K Sajan are in the charge of writing department of the independent shorts which will be titled independently after the name of colours like Red, Blue, Green and so on.

Dileep, Prithviraj, Fahad Fazil, Asif Ali, Anoop Menon, Jayasuriya and Samudhirakani will also play their parts in these films which is expected to be on sets by next week.

Thattathin Marayathu (2012) Review Aggregator

The audience has apparently taken a huge liking to Vineeth Sreenivasan’s new directorial venture ‘Thattathin Marayathu’, but critics are divided in their opinions on the film. Verdicts range from good to average. Here are a few of them.

Rediff thinks it lacks intensity: “The screenplay does try to be interesting going back and forth in the first half, and even has cheeky  humour punctuating the proceedings. But, after a while, it feels as if the story is stuck in ‘no man’s land’, not knowing whether to adopt a serious tone or go with the humorous flow.”

Nowrunning agrees wholeheartedly: “Vineeth Sreenivasan’s ‘Thattathin Marayathu’ has a few gung-ho moments here and there, and does keep you engaged with its proceedings. What it lacks is a story that is convincing, and its movements along predictable territory could make you care even less about the love that blossoms in it.”

Sify says its very good: “A  feel good romantic film hasn’t been one of the favourite genres in Malayalam for pretty long. No surprises if Thattathin Marayathu  makes you feel romantic, with its cuteness and innate honesty. Don’t miss this one!”

Lal Jose-Mamootty new Malayalam movie Emmanuel

Mammootty-Lal Jose team’s new movie “Emmanuel” will start from this October. Film will be scripted by AC Vijeesh and camera by Sameer Thahir. Music by Vidyasagar.

Return of SAGAR ALIAS JACKY?

Sagar Alias Jacky will be back. Director K. Madhu is planning on making a sequel of the yesteryear hit movie Irupatham Noottandu.

Filmmaker K. Madhu says, “I don’t consider Amal Neerad’s Sagar Alias Jacky as a sequel to the original version of the film. I have something in my mind and if Mohanlal agrees to act in my movie, then he will play the lead.”

An action-thriller movie in the late 80s, Irupatham Noottandu was one of the biggest hits in Mohanlal’s film career. The director is yet to decide upon the cast and crew of the sequel.
